The California Community Schools Partnership Program is built on a straightforward idea: schools work better when students and families help shape them. Waite Middle School is proving it.
In this case study video, produced in partnership with Norwalk-La Mirada USD and the Los Angeles County Office of Education, we documented how Waite's first year unfolded. An eSports Club and a Pokémon Club were born directly from student surveys. Family events were rescheduled to fit parent availability. Small moves, real results.
Waite was recently recognized as a California Schools to Watch award winner. After spending time on campus, it's easy to see why.
This is a model other schools can learn from. We were honored to help tell it.
