For Bellflower USD's district overview video, we tried something different: hand the camera to the students and let them lead.
Filmed in a selfie style across three campuses over three days, the result is a video that feels immersive, authentic, and entirely student-centered. Huge credit to Public Information Officer Esmeralda Cisneros, whose preparation and on-campus coordination made it all possible.
The takeaway: when students hold the camera, the story they tell is the one worth watching.
The Bellflower Unified School District Overview video is one of our most innovative and student centered productions to date. Built around a “Student Takeover” concept, the entire piece is filmed in a dynamic selfie style, with students holding the camera as they move through classrooms, programs, and campuses.
This creative approach gives the video an authentic, energetic feel and places student voice at the center of the story. Spanning three filming days across three different campuses, the production required detailed coordination and planning.
The success of the project would not have been possible without the preparation and on campus support of Esmeralda Cisneros, Public Information Officer at Bellflower USD, who worked closely with our team to ensure we captured the full breadth of the district’s programs and opportunities. The final video feels immersive and personal, showcasing Bellflower Unified as a place where students learn, grow, discover their passions, and truly belong.
